About us

Following the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, we felt it was necessary to go beyond statements and create measurable change that challenges the status quo and moves the Black community forward. Originating in the UK, Black Valley created a tech ecosystem that enables Black talent to access careers in tech or build out their start-up ideas through mentorship programmes. Since starting in June 2020, we have grown into a global community of over 240 mentors from multinational companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Twitter, Slack, Uber, Meta, Cisco, LEGO ventures through to SMEs.

By 2030, we want to support 10,000 Black people to accelerate their careers in tech and launch their start-ups through our core programmes
